April 17 2012 - Talk on SNAMP Fisher Study

Apr 17 2012

Dr. Rick Sweitzer will be onsite on Tuesday April 17th to talk about his Sierra Nevada Adaptive Management Project Fisher Study. Dr. Sweitzer, Principal Investigator for the study, has collected donated socks from all over the country for use as bait holders to attract the rare Pacific Fisher (Martes pennant) in the Sierra Nevada area. Motion‐activated cameras and radiocollars are used to monitor Fisher populations and the impact of forest thinning on area wildlife.
